What I Got for Christmas 2013!

Well folks, it's all over. Christmas is behind us for another year. It's a little sad, yeah, but it's also awesome to have all of the stuff that we didn't have before! I had a pretty good Christmas this year in the way of gifts, and I thought I'd share them with you!
Also, I am watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban while writing this. So. Turn to page three hundred and ninety four.
If you got that, ten points to Hufflepuff.
Aaaanyways. Let's do this!
I'll start with gifts that I got from non-family members.

I had to work on Christmas Eve (BOOOOO!) But the upsode to that is that our sweet head teller gave us all little goodie bags! Mine had a bunch of candy and this yummy smelling body wash:

As well as these cute and cozy socks!

On Christmas Eve night, my family and I went to the church for the Christmas Eve service! There, two of my bestest friends gave me gifts! The first was from Mary Padgett. Now, she gave me more than I have pictures of, but all of that was food. Here's what else:

Weeeee! I LOVE NAIL POLISH!! The one on top is called Blazed, and the one on the bottom is called Grey Area.

She also got me my favorite Pringles, "fizzy water" (AKA Clear American), and gum!

Then my best friend who was in town for just a day or two gave me a gift (though her being there and giving me a hug was a perfect gift). She got me a soup mug (which she said that, if it were her, she would use it for coffee. And I have.) Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of it. Sorry!
She also got me:

More nail polish! Yay!! And any nail polish with glitter is my instant new favorite. The top is called Come Closer, the bottom is called Private Show. The are both by Pure Ice.

THIS STUFF SMELLS INCREDIBLE!!

And I've heard so much about these, but I've never had one! I can't wait to try it!

Okay, now onto grandparents and aunts and uncles gifts!

Now, my Aunt Shae got me an amazing scarf, which, again, I forgot to get a picture of. I will get one soon and add it! She also got me this adorable little picture holder:

My Gran got me a few things, firstly a cute outfit with a cardigan and a skirt, but, unfortunately, the skirt didn't fit. But here's the cardigan!

It is incredibly soft and I can't wait to wear it!

Okay. Gran hit the jackpot with this next gift. Now, I did pick them out and show them to her as a suggestion, but the was she was talking, I didn't think I would get the exact ones. But I did. And this is my favorite gift of this year. I've worn them almost every day. I'm obsessed.

EEEEE! Aren't they brilliant?? Also, with my obsession for all things British, the fact that the brand is London Rebel and the box has Union Jack on it makes them even more incredible. If you'd like to check them out and maybe get a pair for yourself, head to this link: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/london+rebel+trent+bootie?prodId=290783&activeCats=dsw12cat1740002,dsw12cat1740052,dsw12cat1100004

Now, onto Christmas morning! We'll start with my stocking, which is my favorite part!
First, I got two pairs of fleece-lined footless tights. One black and one burgundy. Now, the strange thing is, they were made my the same company, but the black ones fit and the red ones didn't don't ask me why. I had already opened them and was wearing the black ones when I took pictures of everything, but here's the packaging:

Next, I got a very yummy-smelling car air freshener, which has already been put to great use:

As well as some mints and gum:

And a toothbrush. Hehe. I really did need a new one.

I got these adorable earrings:

Of course, I got some makeup stuff, both of which are great!

If you've never tried Glamoflauge, PLEASE try it! It is SO worth the hype.

Now I think that's it for the stockings. I got a good bit of clothes, but all but one thing fit. Bummer, right? Here's the one thing that did, and I LOVE it!

This adorable lace tunic is actually from Cracker Barrel! Now all I need is to find some jeggings or something to go under it, because it's a little short.
I also got this incredibly cozy bathrobe and some socks on Christmas Eve, I just forgot to add them earlier.

I basically wore it all day. Hehe.

Okay, these next things I am so excited about! I heard about them through Fleur DeForce, one of my favorite YouTubers, and I made a few for myself online, and mom ended up getting all three, which I totally didn't expect. These are from a website called May Designs. They make stuff to help you have a more organized life. I got the planner:

The budget book:

And the calorie/exercise tracker:

I have already started using them and I love them! Here's the link to make your own:  http://www.maydesigns.com/

My siblings also got me some pretty killer gifts. We all went to the thrift store to get each others' gifts, and, to be honestly, we all ended up picking stuff out and telling the others to buy it for us. But it's whatever. So, my sister got me these:

Now, I actually didn't pick this out. Props to Mandy for a surprise on this adorable tote bag.
I did, however, pick the next two out and I am extremely excited to have them in my life.

I have a VCR in my room, and I am constantly on the lookout for good VHS movies.

My brother got me these:

Yay!

My mom also got me this necklace and earrings:

Lastly, Mom gave me these a few days before Christmas, because she bought them for me and then realized that I would have more gifts than everyone else if she wrapped them for me to open on Christmas Day. I've worn them to work a few times, and I love them!

And that's it! I am going shopping later today to replace the clothes that didn't fit. Yay!

Thanks so much for reading! Next post will be what I gave for Christmas!

Welcome to the Blogmas Grand Finale!

I have officially failed. But you know what? It's a lesson learned. I am going to call Blogmas officially over after this post. I do plan on doing a post of the gifts I gave as well as one on the gifts I received, but, obviously, those will be after Christmas.
So, I am really excited about today's post. Why? Because I FINALLY got to make a YouTube video! YAY!!
I collaborated with Giann (Noscriptomylife) and did a Holiday Trivia Challenge! We did part one on her channel, and part two on mine. So, without further ado.....

Part One:
Here's the link because this website is being dumb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwW6sGS2Ec8

Part Two:

I hope you enjoyed this end to Blogmas!! Have a Merry Christmas!

Blogmas Day...Uh...

Well, there went that. I may have set the bar a little too high when I said I was going to do Blogmas. Next time, better planning needs to be done, for sure.
Today, though, I plan to catch you up on my life. This post may be a little boring compared to the amazing selfies in the last one, but I figured I'd let you guys know what's going on in the world of me. I think I'll go in, like, planner format for this one, starting with last Thursday.

Thursday, December 12, 2013

This day was spent at Little Lambs Mother's Day Out in the Ladybugs class. It was pajama day, and I was clad in sock monkey footie pajamas. Everyone loved my attire, and, I gotta admit, so did I. I was subbing for one of the teacher aids in a 3-year-old class. I had an amazing day.

Friday, December 13, 2013

Friday was my Christmas shopping day. I slept in (YAY), and when I got up, I headed to Brookwood and hit up the GIANT Target there, finishing basically all of my shopping for others. Then I went over to the mall to take full advantage of the Bath and Body Works sale- 3-wick candles for $8. EIGHT DOLLARS. Do you people realize that these candles are usually $22?????????? I was ecstatic to partake in that moment of heaven. I am actually still basking in the glory of my purchase, sitting now in my bedroom only lit by the Champagne Toast candle. Smells so yummy.
Anyway. I went to WalMart after that to pick up the ingredients for a gift I made. I will post pictures and instructions on this after the gift is given to the person it was made for. I will be showing everything that I got everybody for Christmas sometime next weekend, when I've given them all out.
After my shopping was complete, I went to babysit my precious buddy Caleb.

Saturday, December 14, 2013

Saturday was an interesting day, and I will explain why with ten words: I spent the day with my mother and two siblings. Yeesh, that's always a scary thought. Nah, I'm kidding. It was fun, and definitely humorous. We started out at Vapor Thrift Store. where the three of us kids got each other's Christmas gifts. That was a definite adventure. After a couple hours there, we decided that we were hungry and wanted lunch. After much bickering and whining about who didn't want fast food, who didn't want sushi, and who didn't want pizza, we ended up at Baumenhauers (spelling???). Of course, Jacob was going on 12 hours without seeing his girlfriend, so he invited her and we had to wait another 45 minutes for her and her family to show up (by the way, I absolutely love Caitlin, and I in no way meant that negatively). After a fun lunch, we headed home and I took a nap before having to go babysit for a Sunday School Christmas party.

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Now THIS was a fun day. It started out, obviously, at church. Let me tell you how great this was: ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS! Well, except for Mara. She'll be home eventually. So, after a really fun time in Sunday School, me, Mom, and Dad went and had chilli with the Yolkfellows, a group of men that my dad is involved with at church. After that, I went to WalMart for some grocery's, and then to Giann's (Her blog is Noscriptmylife <-- click the name and it will take you straight to her) for a super-secret surprise that you will hopefully find out about very soon! After lots of laughs there, I headed back to the church for the adult choir musical, again, with my friends that I have missed so greatly. Then we all went to my Sunday school teachers' house for a party. Let's just say, awkward moments and my stomach hurting from laughing so hard. Y'all, I missed my friends. Can you tell?

Welcome to the beginning of the crazy adventure called my grown-up job. I started work at America's First Federal Credit Union! Monday was a lot of paperwork and meeting new people. I had a lot of paperwork to fill out, and then I got sent to the branch where I'll be training.

Tuesday- Thursday, December 17-19, 2013

The rest of this week was just training at the credit union. Not the most exciting, but it's gonna get me somewhere, and that's exciting. I am really pumped to get into this career.

Friday, December 20, 2013

Today! I was, of course, working, and on Fridays the credit union is open an hour later, which was rough. My body is definitely having a hard time adjusting to actually getting up early in the morning. I am so, so glad that it's the weekend. Tomorrow's the Christmas parade, and my little cousins are coming to town! Now, me and Mom are watching Christmas Vacation, though, I may not last much longer. I'm so sleepy...

Alright, before I fall asleep, I'm signing off. I'll take pictures at the parade tomorrow and post them!

Thanks for reading!

Blogmas Day 7: Selfies 4 Dayzzz

WELCOME TO BLOGMAS DAY 7!
Sh.
I know I didn't post yesterday. Wanna hear a story? Too bad, you're hearing it anyway.
Once upon a time (the night before last), a beautiful princess (me) was was having a very hard time sleeping. She tossed and turned and tweeted and watched Vine videos... nothing worked. She FINALLY fell asleep around 4:00am, and to her great displeasure, was awoken by her alarm at 6:00am. She had things to do all day the next day, and walked around in a terrible fog all day. When she finally got home around 9:00pm that night, she went straight to her bedchambers, took a bath, climbed in bed, and promptly fell asleep. The End.
Did you enjoy my story? I hope so.

So anyway. I think today's post is going to make up for yesterday. I am reallllyyyy excited for this one. I thought of the idea the night before last, while I was not sleeping. I can't even take the anticipation anymore. Let's jump right in.

We're all excited for Christmas. Right? Well, my friends and I want to show you JUST how excited we are. I now present to you..... Christmas selfies.

I asked a bunch of my friends and family members to send me pictures of their face depicting how they felt about Christmas. The results were incredible.

First, we have Kelsey. She's really, really, really, really pumped:

Pause. The funny part about this is that I caught a lot of my friends during finals week. Props to them for being good sports and letting me post these selfies on the Internet.

Play. Our next friend is Kimberly. I.... I don't really...

Now we have Nicole. She's just straight up precious:

And now Bethany. Bethany wanted to share two faces. First, her feelings toward Christmas:

And then, her feelings toward finals:

Now we have Sarah. Let's talk about Sarah for a minute. I haven't seen this kid since the summer after I graduated, because she moved far, far away. I miss her terribly. Also, she's wearing the Julian Smith Jelly Fish t-shirt I got her for graduation:

Now we come to Anna. Anna is excited to be out of school for Christmas:

Next is Katelin. Now, Katelin wasn't able to take a selfie at the moment that I needed her to, so she found one within the millions she has on her phone. Katelin, you might have a selfie problem, you need to get that checked out.
(totally kidding about the selfie problem, by the way. I love this chick.)

And now we have Angie, who looks very excited and incredibly beautiful(as always)!

Now we come to my best friend. She's crazy. I got this picture, and all the message said was, "Hows that for a blog yo?" Welcome to my life.

Now we come to Abbie. Abbie... well, Abbie couldn't figure out how she felt...

And neither could her brother, Adam:

Lindsay Kate and Riley Kate, on the other hand... well, they're just dang cute.

Emily... uh...

And Mary is excited, but I don't understand what's happening in the background of this one.

Mallory and Jennifer are pumped about their Christmas trees:

And now... prepare for your hearts to be melted. I asked my cousin to get pictures of her 3 year old and her 2 year old. The result is incredibly adorable:

MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT.

Finally, when I got my cousin Nicole's selfies, they had an explanation. I love that she put so much thought into how she felt about Christmas. Some of the things she said were kinda personal, and I don't want to put them out there for everyone to see, but I can give a brief summary.
Her first face is one of frustration because of the stress around the holiday season, particularly this year because of things going on in her life:

I'm gonna quote her for the second one, because I just love it. "HOWEVER.. The second pic is of my eyes towards the sky having to remind myself daily to redirect my focus on what Christmas is ALL about and to focus on Jesus!!!! And He makes me happy!"

Colie, I love you, you're beautiful, and I believe you're headed down the path The Lord wants you on.

Well, folks, that's all the selfies I have for you today! Now before you yell at me, I totally forgot to take one of myself, and right now I am in bed and lookin rough. So, maybe I'll take one tomorrow and add it.
If you didn't send me a selfie but want to share one, feel free to reply with one. I'd love to see your beautiful Christmas faces.

Thanks so much for reading and thanks a TON to all the people that contributed their faces to this project.
